The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the 2014 Chevrolet Impala for the emergency braking system problem, The Associated Press reports.

The agency opened the investigation after a driver reported activation of the emergency braking system multiple times without warning.

The NHTSA will determine whether the alleged defect is widespread. There are around 60,580 Impalas of the 2014 model year are on roads in the U.S.
