Ford Motor cut the price of its Focus Electric car for the second time in two years.

The price reduction is likely to help the automaker boosts sales.

The Detroit News reports that the starting price for the vehicle has dropped $6,000 to $29,995, including shipping and delivery.

All remaining 2014 model-year Focus Electrics, and upcoming 2015 model-year cars will now be available at the new price, which became effective from Oct. 13.

Last year, Ford reduced its price by $4,000.
