    Default problems w/ blower

i have a 2003 gmc sierra 1500. this winter i been having problems with the blower if i put it on 4 or 5 i smell burnt electric smell coming from the plug on the bottom. this week it completly stopped working. since the blower doesnt come with the wiring will it be ok to go to a junk yard and buy the little piece and splice the wires together.
    thanks

Where is the ground wire? I have also used a multimeter to check for voltage coming from the resistor switch blower motor plug in side and it shows 12.5 volts when the ac is turned on even if the fan switch is turned on or not.

gmpartsnation.com is the BEST place for GMC parts. They also have parts for all GM cars and they ship fast, too. Hope this helps you.

As far as I understand there can be two reasons
    1. Leakage of Coolant
    2. Dust on Heater
