Default 1993 Lincoln Town Car brights half bad?

All of a sudden, I tried my brights by flicking my stick that has the turn signal on it forward, and my brights dont work! I just had one of my brights replaced, and if I move the stick backwards, my brights still come on along with my dims. Why wont they work forwards?

It wouldnt matter but I dont want to have to hold the stick backwards for my brights, it only stays by itself forwards.

almost surely your dimmer switch is bad, when you pull back that is flash to pass mode ,and since they work in that position then your logical fix will be the dimmer switch.
