How to keep a garage dry?

In this rainy season, my garage often gets wet because of the cars. I've got to sweep every time our family cars come in. There are several shelves in the garage which I'm afraid the water might ruin them. So what do you do if your car brings water into the garage? Thanks for any suggestion.

The car should not be bring that much water into your garage. If this is really a problem you could get some used carpet and lay it down until the rains stop and then replace with the new season.

I think salt does absorbe moisture, failing that you can buy the crystel dehumidifiers (may only be salt in them though) quite cheaply

Don't allow wet cars into garage. Floor will only absorb the drips and then it will come out as condensation later.
