How do you reset the Check Engine light on a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country?

We Just had the TCM, tranny and other stuff replaced on this vehicle, and need to do the power steering pump. The check engine light just turned on today - checked the code in dash - P1684, but don't understand what it means on allpar.com. Don't trust the dealership - they did the TCM last year, and again this year, as well as the power steering pump last year - needing a new one this year. No warranty as they chose to use "used" TCM and power steering pump last year - just to satisfy the 3 mo warranty. Next door neighbor is a mechanic with 35 years experience, so he can fix it, we just need to know what needs to be fixed, or IF anything needs to be fixed at all. Tried unplugging the battery for 5 min, and re-checked the gas cap - still on. Will go to Advance to double check the code, but if it's the TCM, the code could be wrong. HELP!!! We don't have another $2500 to spend on this vehicle.

Welcome to the world of NEW CARS!!

go to another dealership!thats your best chance. Unplugging the battery on OBD-II cars (96 and newer) DOES NOT clear the codes like OBD-I
