Cellular One is still in business, and provides wireless service in some markets. They have a Website, and will ask for your zipcode to see if they can provide service for you.
The phone mounted in your jeep is probably Analog, and not digital capable. Most cell phone companies are not activating Analog Telephones these days, and this means that it will be unlikely that you will be able to find a carrier in your area to activate the Cell phone in your jeep.
