car. i had filled the tank with? petrol just before this and then the car went away to be repaired, just the boot and bumper needed sorting, i got the car back just after xmas and the fetrol gauge still reads full, even though it should have gone down by now. the dashboard gauge is working ok, so i was told it's probably the sender unit. could the crash have damaged this? if this is the case how much will this cost to fix? and would the petrol tank have to be dropped out for the work to be done?
