The General’s at it again as recently, an announcement was made regarding another change-up in their management team.  Shortly after Opel/Vauxhall received a new leader, the automaker’s Global Manufacturing Organization has been realigned.  Now serving as the grouping’s Vice President is Tim Lee who will also continue his role as President of GM International Operations.  In his new, dual-role position, Lee will report to Dan Akerson, GM’s Chairman and CEO.

“His [Lee] extensive manufacturing experience coupled with this alignment will help deliver great, quality vehicles that keep pace with GM’s global growth,” said Akerson.  Responsible for supervising global manufacturing and the facility’s operators, Lee will work in North America, South America and Europe.  He will also have the task of dealing with global manufacturing engineering, labor relations, safety and manufacturing strategy and planning.  A daunting undertaking within itself, Lee will receive help from  Diana Tremblay who was recently named North American Vice President of Manufacturing.

“Our realignment now allows Diana to focus her considerable talents and experience exclusively on North America – our single greatest manufacturing region,” said Akerson.
