I am just going to come right out and say that I think buying a vehicle as an investment is a really dumb idea, but that certainly doesn’t stop anyone from doing it. If you are in the market for a new car that will probably grow in value over the years if you keep the miles off of it, Haggerty is here to help. Every year the team puts together a “Hot List” of cars that are sure to keep an enthusiast’s heart rate high, while also showing promise of being a future collectible.

This year’s list is chock of special production models and low-production run cars that together would pretty much fill up anyone’s dream 10-car garage. There are some stipulations to the list though, each car has to be in production during 2016, and they have to have a list price of under $100k. That means machines like the new Ferrari 488 GTB are out of the running. The list includes some of our favorite cars like the Mazda Miata, Focus RS and the Cayman GT4, but it also includes some surprises with the 2016 Viper SRT and the Lotus Evora 400. You can find the full list of cars direct from Haggerty below complete with base MSRP for comparison.

Mazda MX-5 Miata ($24,915)

Ford Focus RS ($35,730)

Chevrolet Camaro SS ($37,295)
