Mazda is going to have a massive presence at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. At its home auto show, the Japanese company will have no less than 14 different models on display. Eight of those cars will be currently available models like you would expect, but the other six are very special for various reasons. Mazda’s newest Koeru CUV concept will be there, as will the new MX-5 Cup car, an MX-5 modified for hand controls, and a Cosmo Sport from the 1960s. All of that pales in comparison to what Mazda also teased; a new sports car concept.

Just look at that long body line. It’s enough to make a man drool.

Obviously the real idea everyone is throwing around is that this is the next-generation RX car. Mazda has already said they were working on bringing the rotary up to modern emissions and fuel economy standards, so there is a chance. This could be any number of other things as well though. Mazda could just be making a larger GT style sports car to slot in above the Miata. It could even be a Miata coupe, but based on the size of the taillights compared to the body, the car looks too large to be an MX-5 coupe.

Whatever Mazda is building, it looks stunning from this angle. It apes lines from the AMG GT and F-Type, as well as the old Toyota 2000GT. I can’t wait.
