Mercedes-Benz USA has revealed renderings of their much-anticipated new headquarters in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

The four-story, 225,000 square foot headquarters will be built on 12 acres just outside the Perimeter in Sandy Springs, at the corner of Abernathy and Barfield roads. The current goal is to have it completed in early 2018.

Mercedes-Benz USA moved their national headquarters to Atlanta from New Jersey in July, 2015, and has been in temporary accommodations until the new building is completed.

This move, following Porsche’s earlier move to Atlanta, seems to be a harbinger of things to come. Could Atlanta be the new Detroit in a few years? Many automotive manufacturers and their suppliers have been moving their offices and manufacturing facilities to the South. Southern automotive enthusiasts are excited, as Atlanta is shaping up to be a new hub for these automotive companies.
