Nissan Adds Midnight Edition to The Juke

By on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

The Nissan Juke has some impressive stats and hardware such as direct injected turbocharged engine, a six speed gear box, available all wheel drive and hatchback usability.  Despite all of that, the little crossover is much more famous for its truly unique appearance.  As striking as the “frog eyed” utility may be, the folks at Nissan felt it could be improved upon  and thus, a whole new kind of accessory package will be offered.  Named the Midnight Edition, the 2013 Juke will surly turn some heads while flying under the radar.

To be available as an add-on for three trim levels, the Midnight Edition sets out to add what Nissan calls, “a slightly more stealthy appearance.”  Priced at $1,200, the package includes exclusive black 17 inch wheels, a Sapphire Black rear spoiler and mirror caps.  It is, essentially, a “black-out” package that can be purchased $500 less than if bought with individual pieces.  For an extra bit of Darth Vader, the Midnight Edition can be fitted to a Sapphire Black Juke so a smoky silhouette will be the only thing seen by the dumbfounded street racers left in the dust.

“The combination of black-on-black-on-black wheels, spoiler and mirrors gives JUKE a dramatic new look, which we think enhances its already bold styling. We expect it to be a very popular addition to the JUKE lineup for 2013,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager for Nissan Division.
