High octane, horsepower, a selection of the best driving roads in the nation, wild parties, and a large group of close knit car enthusiasts, you’re probably wondering what how all of this ties together, thankfully there’s only one answer. ZdayZ brings hundreds of automotive enthusiasts together every year for a weekend full of fun. If you’ve ever been to Fontana Village just off of the Tail of the Dragon, you’ll know how big the resort is, and every year ZdayZ manages to fill it to the brim.

Full of festivities, there’s something for everyone, a judged car show, vendors from all over the country, and a raffle for thousands of dollars in parts and tuning from various shops. After the sun goes down, the adults stay out and party, the infamous “Z1 Deck Party” always makes for good laughs and not a whole lot of memories if you catch my drift.

Early on Thursday Morning, Forged Performance put on an Air Strip half mile drag event dubbed the “Top Dawg Challenge” that is always promising to watch, or compete in if you’ve got the car for it. Some of the highest horsepower Nissans in the country all take their shot at traveling the fastest speed in a half mile stretch.

ZdayZ (3)Overall, ZdayZ is a great time, and if you’re a Z chassis enthusiast, or even a Nissan enthusiast, you should make the voyage through the Tail of the Dragon to attend. There’s always something special there. This year Nissan brought the Titan Cummins Sema truck, and the first Nismo 370 convertible, Rivsu brought their unicorn GTR, an R33 GTR LeMans edition, and Chris Forsberg brought his brand new twin turbo 370z fresh out of the shop. Unfortunately due to rain we didn’t get to see him shred up Fontana Village like we did last year, but being able to see the car in person and talk with a professional Formula Drift driver is always a treat. There are always special cars at ZdayZ and the numbers are growing stronger every year. We highly encourage you make the trip out and experience the biggest automotive group that travels to the Dragon. If the mountain roads don’t do it for you, be sure to check out Znationals at Road Atlanta later this year.
