Tesla Motors Inc. has added a new member to its board by hiring Robyn Denholm, who will be the first female director for electric-car maker based in the United States.

Denholm, who is Juniper Networks Inc.’s executive vice president and chief financial and operations officer, will join the company’s board on Aug. 11, Bloomberg News reported, citing the company’s filing.

Denholm will lead Tesla’s audit committee and serve on the compensation committee and another over nominating and corporate governance, according to the filing.
