Tesla Motors Co. teamed up with China Unicom Ltd., a state-owned phone carrier in China, to build 400 charging stations for electric cars in China.

China Unicom will provide space for construction and basic services in 120 cities. Charging stations will be operated by Tesla Motors.

For high-speed charging, the two companies will build 20 “supercharger stations” in 20 cities.
