The recently revised Kia Optima shares so much with the Hyundai Sonata that it might as well get its optional gasoline-electric drivetrain as well. Kia is going to do just that with the 2011 Optima Hybrid as they just revealed its MSRP: $27,250. At that price, the Optima is actually $750 more than the Sonata Hybrid.

For that extra $750, you get a voice activated entertainment system that controls the navigation and stereo. This system is a stylistic copy of Ford’s Sync System and was developed in part by Microsoft. The drivetrain is unchanged and is still a 2.4 liter four cylinder paired with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic. Expect the Optima Hybrid to be available later this summer.
