At Apple’s annual general meeting, shareholders and analysts pushed the company’s management to buy or partner with Tesla.

At the meeting, one of investor says: “Every time I see it, it blows my mind,” said the man, who did not identify himself. “Am I insane to think something might happen here?”

Apple has hired several automotive engineers. But it was not confirmed if the company is building its own electric car.

On the other hand, Apple CEO Tim Cook says that they do not have any interest in buying Tesla, but we want Tesla pick up CarPlay. Apple is still focusing on CarPlay, according to Cook.

“We don’t really have a relationship with them,” said Cook, after being asked about Apple’s ties to Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk. “I’d love Tesla to pick up CarPlay. We now have every major auto brand committing to use CarPlay, and maybe Tesla would want to do that.”

Recently, Tesla Co-Founder Elon Musk told investors and analysts on his company’s earnings call that he foresees his company being worth more than Apple within a decade. Apple is the most valuable public company in the world, currently valued at more than $700 billion.
