2008 Kawasaki 250R 6' 3" 210 lbs - first bike ?

I'm 22 years old, 6' 3" 210 pounds.

I've taken motorcycle classes, but never owned one. I'm thinking about the 250R, but I'm afraid it's going to be kind of underpowered (like an Aprilia RS125).

At the same time, an R6 would probably kill me in the first week or so.

Also, I plan on using it for only 1 year, so what's the usual resale value if I don;t crash it ???
