The Crossman, which will be MINI’s first car to measure more than 4 meters (13.1 feet) in length, will be powered by some of the engines from the Cooper and it will also get new four-cylinder engines, both in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. Another premiere the Crossover brings is the fact that it’ll be the first MINI to be built outside UK at the Magna Steyr plant in Austria. MINI reached this decision because the company’s plant n Cowley doesn’t have enough capacity to handle production.
