I remember in all of the Back to the Future movies (disregarding the third one) there was a particular whining noise that the DeLorean made every time the car changed gears or went faster.
Now, I have heard many things from many people about this, including the fact that the sound came from the custom Porsche engines, or that the sound itself was completely artificial and was merely produced by sound effects. I know this can't be true because I heard the same exact noise from an '99-'04 Mustang at a car show.
So what's the real answer?
