I Icarus New Member Dec 12, 2007 #2 If it doesn't have a cam belt the cams wouldn't turn and your pistons wouldn't fire properly, that is to say the car wouldn't run. If it's between 40k and 60k miles (check with VW on the distance for your model) get it changed NOW!
