The new EcoDiesel, is said to be rated at 241 horsepower and a mighty 406 pound-feet of torque. Alongside the new oil burning motor, the 2014 Grand Cherokee will also receive the ZF sourced eight-speed automatic transmission as a further boon to improved fuel economy, which is rumored to be around 23 miles per gallon city, 33 mpg highway. As a result of these powertrain upgrades, the 2013 GC is expected to have a rather short shelf life.
