The owners manual didn't come with it
Somewhere near the engine, actually a part of it, will be a coloured hook or circle. Pull on this and the oil dip stick will come out in your hand. Wipe it off and reinsert it into the hole you just pulled it from. Pull it out a second time and look at the level of the oil on the end of it. There will be two marks, the top one showing there is enough oil and the bottom one indicating that you need to add oil. Tell the person you part the vehicle from that you want the owners manual. A dealer can order another one from the factory if he doesn't have one in stock. Any other source should either have the manual that came with the vehicle when they bought it or should pay you to get one.
Open the hood of the car, there is a pull handle under the steering wheel.
Now look at the front of the engine compartment and you will see a round object and when you pull it straight up there will a long metal tail.
Wipe metal tail clean and stick back in hole. Pull out again and read marks on tail. There is a range where the oil is full and at the bottom of range it will say add. Add usually means 1 quart of oil.
Now close hood and you are done.
