no obvious ones like take it to a garage, thanks.
if i have to bite the bullet how and go to a garage how much will i expect to pay, to tighten it and if a new one's needed how much for that plus fitting.
I would imagine slacken the bolts off the alternator mounting fxings and lever the belt tighter by pulling the alternator and retighten
I would check condition of belt first as it maybe worn / fraid
Dont know if its a V belt or multirib drive
Winter is the squeeler time for belts and alternators as all the load is on the battery trying to replace the stored power working our lights heaters and demistors
Should be a easy job, unless you have air con bolted around it
