How do you clean a carb on a chevy 350 ?

my truck isnt running right and shuts off somtimes could this be dirt in my carb ?
My 84 chevy 350 carb seems to be acting up how do i clean it ?
MY truck some times runs crappy and shuts off could this be dirt getting into my carb ? how do i clean it ?:

depends on what carb it has on it...there are too many possibilities to guess

84's had a ton of problems with the carb..
it probably needs a rebuild kit..
but first you need to rule out a vacuum leak..
that is a common problem on 84's
