I have a 96 Lincoln town car, the wipers froze down, I turned them on and tried to

free them up by? grabbing them and pulling them loose. After this happened, when I shut them off they stay upright instead of falling down below the hood, 90 degrees from were they belong when they are off.. Has anyone ran into this and is it an easy fix?
I appreciate the answers, however they operate correctly, they just don't return to were they belong when they are shut off. When off they sit at about 12 oclock. start them up they work as they should.

Very simple fix, at the base of the wiper blade arm, where it spins on the axises, there is a bolt or fastener of some sort. Loosen this fastener and bring your wiper back the the place you want, tighten the screw and there you have it.
