Since I bought my 93 geo storm the transmission has always had a slight noise when in gear (not neutral or park) but I have always checked the fluid level and it is fine. I was going up a hill at about 50 mph the other day and make like a small clunk noise and there is nothing in any gear. It still seems to me like the transmission is changing gears as I can hear the engine changing rpms when I shift gears. Would there be something wrong with my drive axle or could a pin have slipped or should I just give up on the money pit? This thing runs great at 150k miles and uses no oil so it is hard for me to junk it? Any and all idead appreciated, thanks.
