for your time!? Noob here; I've got a Tippmann Triumph eXT & a 24 oz. tank.

The first time that I used my gun and was finished with it, I tried to take out my tank by quickly untwisting it. I did this as fast I could. However when I did this, a huge cloud of CO2 came out, and I later learned from the guy at the store that my tank was broken.

I've gotten another one, and I would like to know the correct way to take out a tank so this doesn't happen again.

I've heard something like, 'twist the tank 3/4 of a turn and shoot a shot; reapeat.' Is that right?

What's the best way to take it out? Thanks for your time :)

yea, turn the tank about 3/4 out or when its about to leak and start shooting your gun and turn the rest out. less or no gas will leak. and i cant see your tank would break from doing what you did. the o-ring is the only thing that could be damaged from doing something like that.
