I'm having a problem with my 1984 buick lesabre with the 307 engine in it. Last week I noticed my lights going dim. I checked the battery (only 5mths old) and it was fine after a recharging
reading 100% life. So I changed out the alternator.........This didn't fix the problem either. the alternator will do its thing but very off and on. One moment I can have my high beams on my radio, my heater and anything else i can think to turn, and it'll run it all. Then the next minute bam it stops doing its thing and i pull off of the battery until it dies.......
I'm starting to think I've got a bad wire from the voltage regulator to the ign.
any other ideas, or can i run a new wire and where can i plug into to make it work?
