1998 Oldsmobile Aurora-Normal Oil Pressure?

My wife's 1998 Aurora has an oil leak so i keep a close eye on the oil level. Tonight I added two quarts of oil when it probably only needed one. I drove it for about fourteen miles and noticed that the oil pressure is about 10 psi at idle hot and about 51 psi hot while out on the interstate doing about 65. Is this too high? should I worry that much over what was one quart too much at the most? Should it be drained?

oil level will not effect oil press. until pick up exposed, & starves for oil. Not good! Too much oil can cause 'frothing' of the oil in the pan, by reciprocating assy. which is no good either, as it carbonates your oil adding tiny air pockets sending them throughout oil passages. Also can cause sluggishness (crank splashing in & carrying oil) and oper. temps can incr. Now, what to do? Well, you never said what pressures were w/norm oil level. Nor did you give RPM's that they occured. 10psi @ idle is fine under many conditions ie; 6-700rpm, warmed up, 5/10w30 etc. 51psi sounds a little high, was it in O.D.? again RPM
