1998 Oldsmobile Aurora - Problems Starting?

My Aurora was operating fine until my wife called me and stated that the computer was showing a low coolant message. A security gaurd at a grocery store took it upon himself to 'help' her by sloshing coolant everywhere as he attempted to put some in the car with no funnel. I got home and noticed a hole in the radiator hose and replaced it. I had the trunk and the hood up for about the two hours it took me to get the correct parts and the hose on. After I completed the job, I attempted to crank the car and had problems. I thought that I had run the battery down and jumped it off as per the manual's directions with my truck. My wife and I took an 1,100 mile round trip in this car and it's still haveing problems cranking. I am getting 10.8V with the switch on before cranking the car. Once the car would only crank when all doors were closed and everything was off. If the door was open it would not crank. Should I assume this is a battery or a batt cable prob?
