Hi all,
My mom's lease on her 2005 GX470 is going to expire in April of this year. She was allowed 36,000 miles during her term, and she currently has 40,000 miles on the vehicle. The bank (US Bank) charges 18 cents per extra mile.
However, Lexus has agreed to buy the vehicle from the bank, give her 15K miles a year, for a 36 mo. term, and put her in an '08 GX470 with a similar price tag. Her original payment for 3 years/36k miles was $2500 down and $655/month (incl. tax) Now she will be looking at $2500 down and $695 including tax.
This is a really tempting deal and we would save a great deal of money since a service and brake change is due soon. Actually my dad caclculated it to be about $3K+
However, the GX as nice as it is, is a little smaller and it doesn't have the same status symbol as the GL has, which we are getting for a little more than the GX deal. My mom and I want a change, but the finances seem to be favoring the GX's side. Which one would u choose?
Thanks
