American eagle seasonal sales associate job: Should I call back?

I really want to work at AE and I applied there last Saturday, 3 days ago, and I called the manager today.

She told me that the hiring manager isnt there and I should just wait, but the guy that gave me the application told me to keep calling back if I want the job.

What should I do? The seasonal should start next week and dont they need time for training?

Just call back one a month. I work there part time since I am in college and have a daughter. I put my application in at 16 and got called back right before my 18th birthday.
