...problem? What would be some other problems to look at and what would an estimate be to have it fixed?

drain your rad.get one gal. of white vinegar.pour intorad.,and run car at an idle for 15 to 20 minutes with heater on.then drainrad.again,and flush the rad.with water for 10 minutes/stop and fill rad. with antifreez/coolant.this should fix your problem.it could be a stopped up heater core.

suggest that if the engine temperature is normal,then it should not normally be the thermostat,if the engine temperature is lower then normal, it may be the thermostat. Suggest to check coolant levels to insure they are not low. Please remember that in order to safely check coolant level or work on any part of the cooling system, the cooling system and engine must be completely cooled down ,as the coolant is very hot,and operates under pressure ,which can easily scald you. remember ,safety first
