Ford Focus vs Kia Optima(Magentis)?

Which model do you guys think would be more reliable, best value, and better resale value between a Focus and an Optima (known as Magentis in Canada)

Out of the 2 choices..go with the Ford. They've been around much longer and are a more reliable company. I've heard some bad stories from people who have dealt with Kia in the US...

the focus will have a better resale value. the plus to the Kia is its warranty. 10 year and 100,000 miles are hard to beat but they are under powered compared to the focus.I have driven both and are pretty much the same car but HP and TQ are lower on the Kia.
