How do I find out DIN size of my Fiat Punto?

I'm in the process of looking for a new stereo for my Punto and I need to know if it is a Single DIN or a Double DIN. How do I go about finding this out? I know it tends to be Japanese cars that are Double DIN but I just need to make sure.

The MkI and II Punto have single DIN slots (about 50mm high)
Double DIN is twice the height (about 100mm high).

A MkII Punto (1999-2006) may require an additional face plate, due to the original factory-fit stereo being shaped to blend in to the shape of the console.
