Lotus Esprit with another car? First off, I know very little about cars. So, after reading my question and thinking "No s*@t" hear me out for a second. I have often heard about cars being reworked with another make's/model's engine and transmission and other key parts. Could this be done with an Alfa Spider or a Lotus Esprit? Why worry about their mechanical nightmares if I can put Honda parts in an Alfa or Acura parts in a Lotus? Could a savvy mechanic do that? I'm not a automobile purist, so I have no problem cranking up an Acura engine under a Lotus hood if that kind of thing is possible. How doable is it to put major parts of a car into another? I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
