How long can I stay on my parents' car insurance?

I'm turning the big 25 in a couple of weeks, and someone told me that I can't stay on my parents car insurance anymore. Is that true???

It completely depends on the state you're in and the insurance company you're with. Since you didn't tell us either, we can't answer your question. That is why you are getting conflicting answers.

When you turn 25, you should have an amazing rate (in comparison to 16-24 year olds) on your own. There might not be a huge advantage to staying on your parent's policy. Also, unless the company you're with has a policy against it, you should be okay.

No. You should be listed as an operator on their policy, as long as you either live in their household, or drive one of their vehicles regularly.

"Someone" is confusing car insurance with health insurance.
