...Nissan 200sx (Sentra)? I have removed the engine and trans out the bottom of the engine bay as one unit with no trouble using a 1000 lbs engine hoist and full vehicle lift. I basically set jack stand under the engine/trans and disconnected everything so it was sitting on the jack stands set on the garage floor. I then raised the car with the vehicle lift leaving the power train below sitting on the floor. I only used the engine lift to make sure the unit would not fall over and to reposition it once to clear the lift's ramp on one side as I was lifting the car clear of the unit. Worked great! This was much easier than hoisting the unit out of the car from the top. That is how I did my daughter's car last summer, same make and model.
The reason I am asking about the weight of the unit, I am considering buying a lifting work table and want to make sure I get one rated for the total weight of the unit. I also plan on using the lift table to help simplify the install back into the car when I finish the work.
