How much is an exhaust repair on average for a Fiat Punto?

I know that it differs depending on which part of the exhaust is damaged, but can please someone tell me the minimum and maximum amount, just that I can have an idea on what to expect?
The exhaust was fine in the morning, but in the afternoon it suddenly sounded very loud. My partner said that there has been a hole in the exhaust for a while, but didn't bother to tell me back then.
The Fiat Punto is from 2003.

get your yellowpages out and look for local garage that fit them then ring a few of them and ask for a quote it would be helpful if you know whitch part of the exhaust pipe has the hole ask your b/f to have a look.
dont let the garage you pick talk you into a whole system because the front end usually lasts much longer than the rear end
