I have an 02 Fiat Punto and the glovebox is jammed shut. The side where the handle is seems to be coming away but the side nearest the passenger door won't budge. Is there a way I can get into it without (a) damaging the compartment itself or (b) damaging the airbag?
Hmm.. if you have a hammer get a piece of wood, put it over the compartment and give it a few LIGHT wacks.. might loosen it up. Use a piece of wood though because it spreads out the force and wont break it.
Not too sure what they look like but try jiggling it a bit or perhaps a paper clip or small wire to try and fiddle around with the joint/hinge mechanism on the side.
