i have a nissan exa 87 model when i first got it the dash or lights wouldnt

work until i revved car? i put a wire from power when u turn reds on to where the alternator wires go to and it worked only when i turn key for stereo everything goes on but still didnt hold charge so i changed alternator and belt now holds charge maybe for 2 or 3 weeks then dies and when driving at night the pop up lights keep going down and up and brake light wont work until key turned into stereo position even the interior light goes on only when key turned please help me to fix this problem

gotta love nismo well its sounds like you have a bllown fuse if your lucky some nissan have the light itergated in the same wire the turns on the radio i.e. remote wire some times and i mean somethimes
the radio will let the main power wire back feed the the radio and run the lights i have seen it on a 240sx
even tho all the manuals say the dont must do start with the fuses and also check the conection on the alt to the bat wire make sure it is clean and with out defect and ALL wires are conected right
