i have changed my seat in my vauxhall vectra n the air bag came on?

well i changed my seat n had to r wire it and ever since that day my airbag light has been on i have removed my batt for 15 mins and the same problem has happend so could any 1 help mot in 4 days vauxhall vectra 2,0 gls 1998 model thanks andy

Hi

Theres a plug under the drivers seat for the airbag. You may have disturbed it whilst replacing the seat.

The airbag light needs resetting,the diagnosis port is located under the pull out panel by the handbrake but diagnosis eqiupment is needed.It will not fail the MOT for the airbag light being on.

i have had a similar thing happen with my peugeot - i took mine back to the dealer and they had to reset it to bypass the air bag controls.

didn't take long to fix but you will need to take the car to somewhere with a diagnostics kit to fix it. i don't think it should affect your MOT thought.
