installing a woofer on gmc pickup?

i have been wanting to put a system in my 2001 gmc sierra, but i dont want to spend too much money on it. ive considered installing a 12" bazooka, but im really not too sure if thats the way to go yet, ive have heard them before and i think that they sound pretty good for a woofer thats already pre amped, but this was on a chevy cavalier. does anyone have any suggestions or information that i may use to make my decision, and also does anyone know how to install it if everything in my truck is custom so i pretty much need all the wires and whatnot.

Under the rear seats, amp goes under middle console, drill through floorboard and wire tie along fuel(steel) lines up to your engine compartment and throw in a fuse and/or capacitor, mount to your firewall then plug in and play!
