jeep, high oil pressure?

I have a 2000 jeep, My oil pressure is reading high , but no oil shooting out anywhere. My normal mechanic is out until next week, is it alright to wait. The oil looks fine, the engine sounds fine. The pressure goes down Sporadically when i'm stopped.

Please advise.
