Kawasaki ATV won't start (Old, but not broken [hopefully])?

I own an older Kawasaki Bayou 300 4x4 ATV, and it has a continueing problem of not starting. The starter engages (It's newly replaced) but the spark doesn't seem to ignite the fuel. The spark plug seems fine, but has also been replaced. The wire from the spark plug has also been replaced. It only happens, it seems, whenever it feels like (One day it will start fine, the next day THIS happens). We've often believed it was a colonoid in the back of the machine, as a bad connector exists there, but I'm starting to think jiggling the wire doesn't actually have an effect. If anybody has any ideas on what could be causing the non-start, please answer. Be much appreciated. :)

Kids are older and we bought our youngest son a small 250 ATV. My wife and I felt we needed our own ATV so ... I thought maybe it was because the bike had not been broken in just yet. ... After that it would slowly crank the engine but not fire. .... Hopefully they can change the battery quick during my lunch hour.
