Land Rover Discovery Shaking?

I just bought a 1998 Land Rover Discovery about 3 weeks ago. When we are on the highway going 65-70MPH, & we hit a bump or groove in the road, the whole car shakes. It's not your normal shaking. The whole car vibrates so badly we think were going to have a wreck. It stops after a minute or so but it concerns me b/c I have a 7 month old son whom I dont feel safe in the car right now. Someone said a pin may be loose somewhere but no one is sure. I cant really afford to take it to the dealership so does anyone have an idea as to what this problem could be? Please Help!!!

need to have suspension checked out...could be a major problem, might be unsafe to drive...get it check b4 you have a wreck or wheel falls off

You can't afford to take it back to the dealership? It's been 3 weeks. Demand they fix it for free!
Sounds like they sold you a POS, which is why you need to always have your own mechanic look at every used car you purchase.

No offense, but Land Rovers are the worst of any car manuafacturer in reliability.
