Leaking Fiat Punto.... can anyone help? Thanks in advance!?

I have a 51 plate Green Fiat Punto 3 dr. 1.2 and the drivers side floor is always soaking wet and the engineer that I take my car to can't figure out where the leak is coming from. He says leaks are a nightmare. We've used the car wash on it while I've been in it and no water has come in, but when it's raining and I go out later to check it, the water is terrible... any ideas anyone? There's no water anywhere else in the car and we can't see it coming in when we soak the car.....

have you checked the windscreen seal?. just because it's near the drivers door, does'nt mean it enters at that point, another place to look is under the carpet, check if any bungs are lose or missing, look for any obvious rust marks, as this can lead back to the entry point of the water.and finally,check your heater unit for leaks,dont assume it to be rainwater.

start your car and turn heater on high, let it get hot inside. then poar soapy water all around the windows and doors, you will see air bubbles from the hot air inside if there is a leak
