lincoln town car vs Honda Prelude?

I raced my friend today and he beat be twice in his lincoln town car. I was driving a 1997 Honda Prelude VTEC. Im just wondering who should win in this situation. I started to feel like my car was F-ED up cause it couldnt beat a lincoln. I went home and did some research, the lincoln has a damn V-8 and is rear wheel drive.

Id say the race was about 1/8 mile and i only got up to about 55 each time. He beat me by 1/2 a car length and then by 1 car length. My lude only has an AEM cold air intake and his town car is bone stock. Is this normal for a prelude to lose to lincoln like this?

NOTHING flies as good as a LINCOLN.
I have owned, BMW, Mercedes but my LOVE was the Lincoln.

I once soared to LA in 5 hrs flat. Like riding on air. So comfy.

It was a gas hog so I donated it but man o man it was awesome. Ask your friend to let you Drive it.

well, the only bad thing about 4 cylinders is..... well if they arent boosted (turbo)... they are slow and you should just give up when racing a v8 on a stretch that you will leave 1st gear on....
all i can say is throw a turbo on there if you plan on racing anything besides other tuner cars because going n/a (naturally aspirated) against a v8 will never turn out good for you

you're messing with near 300HP, it's not a little rice burner, and I believe they are high compression and run on premium....

I have a 97 eldorado with a northstar v-8, and I love blowing off civics, and camrys...It's great...
